With Stoke leading 1-0 at home to Bolton thanks to a Jonathan Walters goal in the 11th minute At this rate, QPR will be staying up regardless of the result at Etihad Stadium.
Newcastle are 2-0 down to Everton at Goodison Park which means they will be unable to take advantage of any slip-ups by Arsenal who have just hit back to make it 2-2 against WBA.
Tottenham meanwhile took an early lead with a goal in the first minute from Emmanuel Adebayor against Fulham.
